Wilshire Homes Expands in La Cima

February 24, 2020

Wilshire Homes has debuted seven new floor plans for larger homesites in La Cima, a 2,400-acre community in San Marcos.

The builder is now offering homesites on 70-foot properties in addition to its existing floor plan line-ups for 60- and 50-foot homesites.

“We have found there is pent-up demand for both larger homes and larger properties in this area,” said Alex Dadidakis, Central Texas division president for McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc. (MHI), parent company of Wilshire Homes. “We’ve seen people who are downsizing from acreage homes to cut down on the excessive yard maintenance but still want a larger home and yard. Others are wanting more space inside and out for their growing families.”

The new floor plans are part of the builder’s Executive Series, which also includes two home designs previously offered in the community. Priced from the $390,000s, the plans range up to 3,623 square feet. Structural options such as adding a bedroom or theater room add to the size of the home.

“These floor plans are customizable, with a multitude of pre-drawn options that allow for more entertaining space, additional garage bays and even a multi-generational suite,” Dadidakis said. “Plus, the size of the lot allows us to build larger one-story homes, and we have several single-story designs over 3,000 square feet.”

Wilshire Homes has 36 homesites in the new 70-foot section as well as homes available for 60-foot and 50-foot properties. The builder’s pricing in La Cima is from the $280,000s.

Located along the Interstate 35 corridor five minutes west of San Marcos, La Cima offers residents abundant amenities, including a splash pad and playscape that are now open and a recreation center, fitness room, eight-lane junior Olympic pool, a family pool, adult pool and sports recreation fields slated to open next year. The community’s Central Park encompasses more than 45 acres and the development boasts 800 acres of open space and parkland. Students attend schools within the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District.
